Only Tresiba® allows adults to vary their daily dosing interval by 8 to 40 hours, providing around-the-clock control while still maintaining blood sugar control. Taking your insulin at the same time every day is recommended, but if you miss or delay your Tresiba® dose, simply take it as soon as you can, then return to your normal dosing schedule. Tresiba® Was Studied for Safety

In a large safety study vs Lantus® in adults with type 2 diabetes and heart disease, Tresiba® did not increase their risk of major cardiovascular events, such as heart attack, stroke, or death.

Compared to Lantus®, Tresiba® also had a lower rate of severe low blood sugar, a possible serious side effect of insulin.

The goal of any diabetes treatment is to lower blood sugar. However, it is possible for your blood sugar to drop too low. Ask your health care provider what blood sugar level is considered low for you.
